Our Methods

School and Family

We offer individualized programs for each child in a close collaboration with parents and families, finding just the right approach for the students' personal development. Our intention is to bridge the gap between home, school and community, creating an integrated educational experience. The family and the school enter into a shared commitment together, encouraging the child to express his or her talents, improve in the areas needed, and move forward in the process of growth.

Art

The Damanhur School considers art as a key educational tool that supports learning. Our program balances rational thinking with open creativity.

Our students participate in artistic activities, from visual arts to music and theatre, constantly exploring new ideas and expressing their uniqueness. We offer art and music in every grade level.

Eco-Consciousness

The Damanhur School educates for sustainable development and safeguarding the planet.

In our school, we respect all forms of life, promote environmental sustainability, and value peace and harmony. In accordance with these principles, our school is based on the Earth Charter.

Travel

Traveling offers the chance to discover the magic of learning and to become fascinated by the world. The Damanhur School organizes travel experiences for children two years old through middle school.

The trips range from a one-day to a weeklong adventure. We’ve traveled to the sea in Italy with the little ones, to Switzerland with the elementary school children, and to New York City with the middle school students, plus many more adventures.

Spirituality

The Damanhur School values spirituality and personal growth. We believe everyone has an inner reality with ethics that serve as a compass to direct our thoughts, feelings and actions.

By using our spiritual faculties, we connect with our inner wisdom and come to a deeper understanding of ourselves. When each individual works to improve himself or herself, the world as a whole improves. We value peace, tolerance and love, and we encourage cooperation, honesty and respect.
