The Damanhur School educates for sustainable development and safeguarding the planet.
In our school, we respect all forms of life, promote environmental sustainability, and value peace and harmony. In accordance with these principles, our school is based on the Earth Charter.
We collaborate with many international organizations to promote eco-consciousness.
Our twin sister school is on the island of Mancarroncito in Nicaragua. For many years, we have supported their efforts and helped them to build their school. We are also collaborating with the Association for Environment, History and Nature (ASN) in building a pre-school on Mancarroncito as well.
We support the campaign to safeguard the rainforests of Nicaragua with the Association RE.TE (NGO) and the Rio Foundation in Nicaragua.
Our school has collaborated with Greenpeace for years, and we support their campaign to protect the oceans.
The Damanhur School is an Eco School recognized by Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE). Since 2005, the FEE has awarded us the Green Flag as an acknowledgement of our efforts to create a sustainable future.
